Registration is now open for the virtual forum – Young People and Adolescents with MPNs – scheduled for Tuesday 21st January 2025, from 6 to 7:30 PM (GMT). The forum will feature presentations in French, Spanish, and English, utilizing AI-generated avatars to enhance the experience.
We are thrilled to announce this virtual forum in collaboration with the French patient association Vivre avec une NMP, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for their invaluable support in making this event possible. Additionally, we express our gratitude to all the speakers for their contributions, which will undoubtedly enrich the discussions and insights shared during the forum.
The programme will feature presentations from: Prof Jean-Jacques Kiladjian, Saint Louis Hospital, Paris; Prof Claire Harrison, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, London; Dr Juan Carlos Hernández-Boluda, Hospital Clínico of Valencia and parent/patient speakers and a panel Q&A session. View a copy of the programme here.
The clinicians’ presentations will be broadcast in French, Spanish and English via AI-generated avatars in different breakout rooms.
All other presentations and the Q&A session will be conducted in English, with attendees able to access real-time translation captions through Zoom by using the ‘Captions and translation’ feature, instructions for enabling this option can be found by clicking this link. Instructions in French can be found by clicking this link.
To attend the virtual forum, please register using the link below. Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email with the Zoom link to join the forum.
An on-demand video of the full event will be available post-forum on the MPN Voice YouTube channel.
Q and A session – the team will answer questions from the audience, questions can be submitted in advance via the registration form or by email to info@mpnvoice.org.uk, and on the day via the meeting ‘chat’ facility. Please be aware that the panel/medical team cannot comment on or reply to individual cases, do not send in any test results with your questions, replying to questions on the day is not an alternative to your ongoing medical relationship with your own consultant or GP, so do try to ask general questions and don’t be disappointed if the panel/medical team do not give specific medical advice to you. There may not be time during the session to answer all the questions submitted, the team will reply to all unanswered questions by email.
Donate to MPN Voice – MPN Voice would not exist without fundraising, donations and grants, we are kindly asking everyone to be as generous as they can to help us support our ongoing projects, including virtual forums, supporting the MPN patient and healthcare communities. We would be very grateful for your support with a donation to MPN Voice which you can make via the MPN Voice JustGiving page, thank you.
