We recently invited you to submit a wide variety of quotes about how you have been affected by all or some of the documented 10 symptoms associated with MPNs, for an exciting non-promotional disease awareness/patient activation exhibition campaign we are working on in collaboration with Novartis.
The campaign is aimed at reaching patients who are living with MPNs plus their caregivers (such as friends and family members) as well as the wider general public, healthcare professionals and Members of Parliament.
MPN symptoms are often ignored or underestimated, and this campaign will use 10 creative art installations to help bring these challenging lifestyle issues to ‘life’. The campaign and larger than life art installations will appear around the country in hospitals and public locations through the autumn.
The launch of the campaign ‘Meet the MPN 10’ is taking place on Thursday 14 September, which is MPN Awareness Day, and you are welcome to attend. Jon Mathias, Co-chair of MPN Voice will be at the launch, he will be giving an interview to talk about MPN Voice, and how symptoms affect people with MPNs, and about the artworks and how they are representing symptoms experienced by MPN patients.
The installation is located at The Westfield Centre, Westfield Square, (Ground Floor, next to John Lewis) at Westfield London, Ariel Way, Shepherds Bush, London, W12 7GF. The launch will start at 10 am. Throughout the day a film crew will capture footage of members of the public interfacing with the sculptures and the AR experience, so why not go along and be part of this exciting launch, and look for your quote!
The sculptures will remain at the Westfield Centre until Wednesday 20 September 2023, so there is plenty of time for you to go along and view them.
We would like to thank everyone who submitted quotes, we were overwhelmed by the amazing response we had from you, the quotes you sent in were very insightful and quite emotional.
We would also like to thank the artists who have created these amazing sculptures showcasing the MPN symptoms in a truly unique way. We would also like to thank Novartis for collaborating with MPN Voice on this exciting project.
